“Ion Enescu” Clinic

The recent wave of modernizing brand identities is starting to produce more and more changes. This is how the people from the III Internal Medicine Clinic “Ion Enescu” Iași, within the St. Spiridon Iași Emergency County Clinical Hospital, turned to me for the clinic’s new brand identity.

The challenge

The difficulty of the project was primarily due to the contrast between tradition and modernity. On the one hand, it was important not to stray too far from the clinic’s past, but on the contrary, to use it as an advantage. On the other hand, one of the objectives of the project was to align the clinic’s identity with the brands of the present and the future.

The chosen concept

The winning logo combines several elements with which the clinic identifies.
The core is the heart which represents the main specialization of the “Ion Enescu” clinic, cardiology.
It is wrapped in the medical cross, used to clearly convey that the brand is a medical one.
The arrows connected to each other symbolize the multidisciplinary side of the clinic, but at the same time suggest the progress that the clinic imposes on itself day by day.

Logo variations

The font used in the logotype was chosen to convey even more confidence and to keep the link between today’s clinic and yesterday’s. We thought of 3 variations of the logo so that it can be easily used in various environments: a vertical, a horizontal, and a circular version.

Specific visual elements

The color palette was selected to help the brand differentiate itself, while fitting the brand category it belongs to. Using the logo, we created a simple and clean visual pattern that will support the use of the identity on various communication materials.
